【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistofurnishqualifiedtechnicalpersonnelwithpertinentinformationfortheselectionofcleaningmethodsforcleaningmaterialsandequipmenttobeusedinoxygen-enrichedenvironments.Thispracticefurnishesqualifiedtechnicalpersonnelwithguidanceinthespecificationofoxygensystemcleanlinessneeds.Itdoesnotactuallyspecifycleanlinesslevels.Insufficientcleanlinessofcomponentsusedinoxygensystemscanresultintheignitionofcontaminantsorcomponentsbyavarietyofmechanismssuchasparticle,mechanical,orpneumaticimpact.ThesemechanismsareexplainedindetailinGuideG88.Adequatecontaminationcontrolinoxygensystemsisimperativetominimizehazardsandcomponentfailuresthatcanresultfromcontamination.Contaminationmustalsobeminimizedtoensureanacceptableproductpurity.Removalofcontaminantsfrommaterialsandcomponentsdependsonsystemconfiguration,materialsofconstruction,andtypeandquantityofcontaminant.Examplesofcleaningprocedurescontainedhereinmaybefollowedorspecifiedforthosematerials,components,andequipmentindicated.Thegeneralcleaningtextcanbeusedtoestablishcleaningproceduresformaterials,components,equipment,andapplicationsnotaddressedindetail.SeeGuideG127fordiscussionofcleaningagentandprocedureselection.DESIG:G9303^TITLE:StandardPracticeforCleaningMethodsandCleanlinessLevelsforMaterialandEquipmentUsedinOxygen-EnrichedEnvironments^SCOPE:1.Scope1.1Thispracticecoverstheselectionofmethodsandapparatusforcleaningmaterialsandequipmentintendedforserviceinoxygen-enrichedenvironments.Contaminationproblemsencounteredintheuseofenrichedair,mixturesofoxygenwithothergases,oranyotheroxidizinggasmaybesolvedbythesamecleaningproceduresapplicabletomostmetallicandnonmetallicmaterialsandequipment.Cleaningexamplesforsomespecificmaterials,components,andequipment,andthecleaningmethodsforparticularapplications,aregivenintheappendices.1.2Thispracticeincludeslevelsofcleanlinessusedforvariousapplicationsandthemethodsusedtoobtainandverifytheselevels.1.3Thispracticeappliestochemical-,solvent-,andaqueous-basedprocesses.1.4Thispracticedescribesnonmandatorymaterialforchoosingtherequiredlevelsofcleanlinessforsystemsexposedtooxygenoroxygen-enrichedatmospheres.1.5Thispracticeproposesapracticalrangeofcleanlinesslevelsthatwillsatisfymostsystemneeds,butitdoesnotdealinquantitativedetailwiththemanyconditionsthatmightdemandgreatercleanlinessorthatmightallowgreatercontaminationlevelstoexist.Furthermore,itdoesnotproposespecificwaystomeasureormonitortheselevelsfromamongtheavailablemethods.1.6Thevaluesstatedinbothinch-poundandSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandardunit.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Federal,stateandlocalsafetyanddisposalregulationsconcerningtheparticularhazardousmaterials,reagents,operations,andequipmentbeingusedshouldbereviewedbytheuser.TheuserisencouragedtoobtaintheMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)fromthemanufacturerforanymaterialincorporatedintoacleaningprocess.SpecificcautionsaregiveninSection.
