【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesaprocedureforthedeterminationofvolatileisocyanatesintheexhaustairofanemissiontestchamberafterapplicationofalow-solventorsolvent-freeadhesiveasdefinedinEN923.Themethodisbasedonchemosorptionofvolatileisocyanateswith1-(2-methoxyphenyl)piperazine(inthefollowing:1-2MP)impregnatedfilterswithsubsequentdesorptionandliquidchromatographicanalysis.Themethodpermitsmeasurementofawiderangeoforganiccompoundscontainingisocyanatefunctionalgroups(NCO),includingisocyanatemonomers.Fortestingofadhesivesemissionsmainlytoluenediisocyanate(TDI)andmethylenebis(4-phenylisocyanatealsoknownas4,4-diisocyanato-diphenylmethaneorMDI),areofconcern.ThemethodasdescribedinthisEuropeanStandardcanbeusedforotherisocyanatestoo,suchasisophoronediisocyanate(IPDI)and1,6-hexamethylenediisocyanate(HDI)-seeISO16702.Isocyanateoligomersorprepolymersarenotvolatileenoughtobedetectedinemissiontestchambersatroomtemperature.
