【摘要】:ISO20998-1:2006describesultrasonicmethodsfordeterminingthesizedistributionsofoneormorematerialphasesdispersedinaliquid.Colloids,dispersions,slurriesandemulsionsarewithinthescopeofISO20998-1:2006.Thetypicalparticlesizeforsuchanalysisrangesfrom10nmto3mm,althoughparticlesoutsidethisrangehavealsobeensuccessfullymeasured.Measurementscanbemadeforconcentrationsofthedispersedphaserangingfrom0,1%byvolumeupto50%ormorebyvolume,dependingonthedensitycontrastbetweenthecontinuousandthedispersedphases.Thesemethodscanbeusedtomonitordynamicchangesinthesizedistribution,includingagglomerationorflocculationinconcentratedsystems.
